Prince Harry is not retracting his demands for state security — the Duke of Sussex is back in action where his protection in the UK is concerned.

Following two incidents with a female stalker while he was visiting his home country last month, Harry has reiterated his needs for security by drafting a letter to Shabana Mehmood, UK’s new Home Secretary.

The Duke has also reached out to the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (Ravec) in the matter once again, after the institute’s previous assessment didn’t go in his favour.

A source close to the 41-year-old royal said, “I can confirm that the Duke has written to the new Home Secretary asking for a risk management board to be conducted.”

Since Ravec’s annual assessment was last conducted for Harry and his family in 2019, a year before they announced their departure as working members of the Firm, the insider further told The Times that “all he’s asking is for Ravec to abide by its own rules which state that an RMB should be conducted each year.”

This development is the latest among Prince Harry’s longtime efforts in securing state funded security for himself, Meghan Markle, and their two children. While he lost his initial appeal in the matter back in May after a London High Court ruled that the Duke’s “sense of grievance” over the loss of his protection detail was not sufficient enough to overturn “Ravec’s decision”.
