Prince William’s tearful appeal for suicide prevention on World Mental Health day

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s office has released a deeply moving video, showing the future king visibly emotional as he spoke about suicide and the importance of seeking help.
Shared via the Prince and Princess of Wales’ official Instagram account, the short clip was released on World Mental Health Day to promote suicide prevention efforts across the U.K.
“We all face moments of struggle,” William said in the video, adding, “It’s okay to talk about what you’re going through. Reaching out can make all the difference.”
The video introduced The Royal Foundation’s National Suicide Prevention Network, a new initiative aimed at transforming how suicide is addressed nationwide.
This brings together organisations and people with life experiences from all four home nations to collaborate on prevention strategies.
It will be Chaired by Professor Ann John who a leading expert in suicide and self harm prevention.
This initiative will focus on handling the root causes. In addition to this, it will provide access to mental health support and encourage open conversations.
In the caption of the video, the couple wrote, “Together, we can help ensure that no one faces their darkest moments alone.”
