Diane Keaton’s mysterious final days before her tragic death

Diane Keaton’s passing has left Hollywood in mourning, with sources revealing that the Oscar-winning actress’ health “declined very suddenly” in the months before her death. The Annie Hall star, 79, passed away on Saturday in California, though details about the circumstances remain private.

A source told PEOPLE magazine, “She declined very suddenly, which was heartbreaking for everyone who loved her.” They added, “It was so unexpected, especially for someone with such strength and spirit.”

The insider shared that in her final months, Keaton was “surrounded only by her closest family, who chose to keep things very private. Even longtime friends weren’t fully aware of what was happening.”

In March, Keaton made headlines after putting her “dream home” in Brentwood up for sale, despite once promising she’d stay there forever. 

“She lived in Brentwood for many years,” another source said. “She loved her neighborhood. Up until just a few months ago, she'd walk her dog every day… always with a hat and her signature sunglasses.”

The insider added, “She was funny, eccentric, and had this old-school Hollywood aura. She was very, very special.”
