Gigi Hadid reveals harsh truths about her modelling debut

Gigi Hadid has set the internet ablaze by making statements about body-shaming ahead of her runaway for Victoria's Secret next week.

The 30-year-old supermodel broke her silence about the harsh realities of the modelling world, which included being brutally bullied 10 years ago when she made her runaway debut.

Gigi got teary-eyed while reminiscing the grueling experience, sharing that it took a negative toll on her overall well-being.

“So, you can imagine what I felt when I got my first show,” she said.

The mom-of-one added, “She just wanted it so bad. And like, I was thinking about it earlier today. And I look back at pictures of that time and the world was so hard on her [Gigi]. And not just me, is hard on girls.”

Gigi continued, “And then you look back at pictures and you're like, "I was the s**t." Like that was an awesome time. And I deserved to be there. And to continue to come back to this show just so happy for her [Gigi]- that girl that got the first show, and also my teenage self who watched the show.”

It is worth noting that the former girlfriend of Zayn Malik is slated to walk in the Vitoria’s Secret Fashion Show on October 15.
