Reese Witherspoon recalls fond memories of Diane Keaton in an emotional tribute

Reese Witherspoon recently remembered the late Diane Keaton and the lasting impact she has left on her life.
Attending her company's Hello Sunshine’s event on Saturday, October 11, the 49-year-old actress called Keaton her first mentor.
It is pertinent to mention that Witherspoon starred in the 1991 film Wildflower, which was directed by the late actress.
"I was 15 years old, and I was from Nashville, Tenn.., and I didn't know anybody," Witherspoon said as she addressed the audience just a few hours after the demise of the Annie Hall actress.
She continued, “I auditioned for her, and she looked at me after. I came in with this big country accent, and I was playing this little southern girl, and she goes, ‘Who are you?
“I said, ‘I'm Reese Witherspoon and I'm from Nashville, Tenn.,” the Big Little Lies actress recalled, adding, “And she said, ‘Are you making that up? That accent you're doing?’ And I said, ‘No, ma'am. I'm from Nashville, Tenn., and I'm here, and I'd love to be in your movie.’"
"And she was like, ‘Well, you're hired. You're hired today, tomorrow, and the next day. I don't know who you are, but I am so excited to have you," Witherspoon stated.
She revealed Keaton would give her advice time and time again, once recalling how the actress encouraged her to work on improving her posture if she wanted to excel in the acting world.
To note, Diana Keaton passed away in California on October 11 at the age of 79.
