Andrew Lloyd Webber praises Lady Gaga’s Mayhem Ball Tour

Andrew Lloyd Webber recently praised Lady Gaga for her amazing Mayhem Ball Tour, which featured theatrical touches that reminded him of The Phantom of the Opera.

In a video shared on October 10, the 77-year-old icon praised Gaga’s London show, calling it “really fabulous” and admiring her live vocals.

“It was so wonderful to see somebody really singing live,” Webber said. “I was really pleased to see an opera house on stage and even more pleased to see a boat with her in it being rowed across the auditorium. It reminded me of something I might have had a little involvement with.” 

The EGOT winner’s kind words quickly caught Gaga’s attention. In response, the Poker Face singer reacted to Webber's TikTok with a teary emoji and commented, “This is a dream come true.”

Gaga’s Mayhem Ball has been celebrated for its cinematic production and emotional performances, a mixture of rock, opera, and pop.
