Prince Harry is reportedly feeling upset after Meghan Markle faced severe backlash for a video she shared during her recent getaway to Paris.

For those unversed, the 44-year-old Duchess of Sussex attended Paris Fashion Week earlier this month, where she posted a video on Instagram showing her riding in a car with her feet up.

However, critics were quick to lash out at her for being insensitive, saying she was close to the Pont d’Alma tunnel, the site of Princess Diana’s tragic death.

To note, Diana died at the age of 36 in 1997.

"Harry was left hurt and upset. Diana’s death was used as a stick to beat his wife with. [Meghan] did not even pass close to the tunnel. The whole thing is a joke, but not a very funny one for Harry,” a source told the Daily Mail.

The confidant added, “He was left feeling hurt, but the depressing thing is he wasn’t even that surprised. He was more despondent than shocked."

Another insider close to Prince Harry told People magazine that the 41-year-old Duke of Sussex will always be extra protective of his wife and family from agenda-driven media narratives.

While the controversy sparked heated debate on the internet, sources close to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reveal that the duo is committed to moving forward and not letting public opinion define their lives.
