Katy Perry, Justin Trudeau’s relationship heats up after secret meetings

Justin Trudeau is making sure he doesn't mess anything up, as he has been making secret efforts to pursue Katy Perry ever since they first encountered each other.

Shortly after their recent PDA-packed yacht getaway on Sunday, October 12, insiders revealed to People magazine that the former Canadian prime minister flew to California during the 40-year-old songstress’s brief tour break to meet her.

A source shared that Trudeau and Perry just have an “easy connection,” as they share many common interests, which makes it easy for them.

The Firework hitmaker also “finds him attractive, and he’s been very respectful.”

"When she first hung out with Justin, she wasn't looking to date, but they stayed in touch," the tipster shared, adding, "They have many shared interests and a lot of talk about, but Katy was navigating too many things to even think about dating then."

The confidant also noted that it has been the 53-year-old political figure who has been “pursuing” Perry since their first meeting in Montreal in July.

It is worth noting that before this blossoming romance, Katy Perry recently called it off with Orlando Bloom in June 2025, while Justin Trudeau ended his 18-year marriage with Sophie Grégoire Trudeau in August 2023.
