With Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau’s blossoming romance growing stronger each day, the former wife of the Canadian prime minister, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, is reportedly hurt after the lovebirds were spotted displaying affection on a yacht date.

According to a report by RadarOnline, an insider revealed that Sophie has been in “incredibly painful” state ever since she saw images of her ex kissing the 40-year-old songstress on the California coast.

The photographs, which garnered massive attention on the internet, left her “shaken and heartbroken.”

"Sophie's putting on a brave face publicly, but she's devastated,” the source stated, adding, “Seeing those images was like being punched in the stomach.”

The tipster further claimed that watching Justin publicly enter a whirlwind relationship after spending two decades together has been nothing short of shattering for her.

Moreover, shortly after the viral snaps of Katy and the politician surfaced, Sophie took to her Instagram handle to post a cryptic message.

"Sometimes we forget that nothing we love is ever meant to be kept. The people, the places, even the moments that once felt infinite, right? Time asks us not to cling to them, but yet we do. I do because to hold on feels safer than to let go,” she wrote.

She continued, "But love was never about possession; it was always about presence. The present moment and when we release what we cannot keep, we make space for the truth of connection, intimacy, the memory, for the lesson."

It is worth noting that Justin Trudeau and his estranged wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, who divorced in 2023, share three children: Xavier, Ella-Grace and Hadrien.

Meanwhile, Katy Perry shares a daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, with ex- fiancé Orlando Bloom, from whom she split in July 2025.
