Meghan Markle reveals strategy to avoid negativity

Meghan Markle recently opened about battling negativity.

According to GB News, the Duchess of Sussex attended the Fortune's "Most Powerful Women" Summit in Washington DC on Tuesday, October 14.

During the summit, the 43-year-old talked to Fortune's Editor-in-Chief Alyson Shontell about taking measures for “self-preservation” to avoid “negativity”.

She addressed her relationship with social media as a “complicated relationship” and revealed the reason behind her decision to turn off comments on all posts on both social media accounts.

According to the mother of two, it was to foster a better environment for her fans and customers.

The former Suit actress explained, "There are certain things that I have done, just for my own self-preservation, but also that I've applied to the brand and for the people that are incredibly supportive."

She went on to say, "By design, I also recognise that a lot of those people aren't going to my page to see negativity, and so not just protecting myself or the people that work with me, but also the supporters. So I don't have the comment section on."

The duchess admitted the decision conversely meant she also missed the positive feedback.

According to Meghan Markle. that's a choice, and yet, part of that challenge that she was trying to solve.
