Liam Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy recounts their last heartfelt meeting ahead of his first death anniversary

Liam Payne’s girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, is sharing the last time she spent with the late musician.

For those unversed, Payne breathed his last on October 16, 2024 after falling off a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, at the young age of 31.

In an emotional video posted on TikTok on Sunday, October 12, Cassidy shared a video of herself reminiscing about the One Direction bandmate’s final moments before his tragic death.

"I come on here not to cry — I feel honestly extremely numb today, I actually think somebody could slap me across the face and I wouldn't be fazed," she said.

The 26-year-old influence continued, "I wanted to make this video because I wanted to express how important it is to really remind your loved ones how much you love them. I know I say it, but you never know what tomorrow brings."

While grieving Payne’s sudden death, she also revealed that she had been sitting on a couch during her last meeting with the singer before she left Argentina, where he died four days later.

"Honestly, it’s so weird to look back at because it was such a long, heartfelt goodbye," Cassidy said, her voice trembling.

It is worth noting that Liam Payne and Kate Cassidy first sparked dating rumours when the duo was spotted attending a Halloween party together in October 2022.
