Mariah Carey’s family feud takes a dark turn

Mariah Carey’s legal war with estranged brother, Morgan Carey has recently taken an unexpected turn.

For the unversed, Carey is suing her singer sister over claims made in her 2020 memoir, "The Meaning of Mariah Carey" that describe him as “violent” and “involved in drug dealing”, which he has denied.

The Emotions singer’s brother filed an amended lawsuit in March after becoming aware of the YouTube video created by a fan called Lambily, titled Morgan Carey: A Deep Dive Into Mariah Carey's Disturbing Older Brother.

However, it was previously dismissed by the judge and his appeal was denied in 2023.

Now, according to Radar Online, the new legal filing stated that one of the All I Want For Christmas Is You singer's Lambs, as her fans are known, made defamatory statements about him while rehashing shocking claims she made about her sibling in her memoir.

The new complaint claims, "The individual identified as responsible for this video, one Lambily, is within the employment and control of Mariah, and the statements in it were made by her both personally through Lambily."

Mariah Carey's memoir "The Meaning of Mariah Carey", included some shocking claims about her estranged brother in which the singer claimed that Morgan Carey was involved in drug dealing while working at a New York nightclub in the 1980s.

According to her memoir, he was violent and abusive towards their family members.

It also included a vicious fight between Morgan and their father that left a lasting impact on her childhood.
