Nicki Minaj is reportedly at risk of losing her $20 million Los Angeles mansion after allegedly refusing to pay a court-ordered sum to a man her husband, Kenneth Petty, is accused of assaulting.
According to Us Weekly, security guard Thomas Weidenmüller has asked the court to authorize the sale of Minaj’s 11-bedroom Hidden Hills home to recover more than $500,000 owed to him following his assault lawsuit against Petty.
Court documents reveal that Weidenmüller’s legal team believes the mansion’s sale would cover the full payment and more.
“The property’s current fair market value is appraised at $20 million,” the filing reads. “That amount is more than sufficient to satisfy the judgment, plus accrued interest and enforcement costs.”
Weidenmüller’s lawyers further stated that Minaj “is a global music superstar” with a reported net worth between $150 million and $190 million, adding that there is “little doubt that she is highly capable of paying the judgment in full.”
However, they claim she has “refused to do so despite multiple written requests.”
The dispute stems from a 2019 incident in Germany, where Weidenmüller worked as a security guard during one of Minaj’s concerts.
He alleged that Petty punched him in the jaw after Minaj reprimanded another guard for allowing a fan to climb onstage.
