Britney Spears was on call with ex-Justin Timberlake the night before wedding: ex-husband

Kevin Federline is revealing a shocking moment from his past with Britney Spears, claiming he caught her on the phone with ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake just hours before their 2004 wedding.

In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Federline recalled the tense night before he and the pop icon tied the knot. 

The couple was staying at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica when he says he walked in on Britney having a private conversation.

“I was like, ‘What’s wrong?’” Federline shared. “I thought she was talking to her mom or maybe having doubts, and she told me she was on the phone with Justin.”

The former backup dancer said he immediately told her, “We don’t have to do this,” admitting he wouldn’t have cared if the wedding was called off.

According to Federline, Britney told him she wanted to “make sure everything was done” between her and Timberlake and needed to say her final piece.

“I’m like, damn, you know, on the night before our wedding this is what you decide to do?” he said, reacting to what the interviewer called “a hell of a red flag.”

While he couldn’t say whether Britney was still in love with Timberlake, Federline admitted he didn’t believe she was “over it.”

The pop star and Federline married in September 2004 and went on to have two sons before their highly publicized split in 2007.
