Elon Musk congratulates Tesla Gigafactory Texas on producing its 500,000th vehicle
Gigafactory Texas has rapidly scaled its production capacity since opening

Tesla’s Gigafactory Texas has reached a major milestone, rolling out its 500,000th vehicle since production began.
The achievement highlights the facility’s growing role as a key manufacturing hub for the company’s expanding global operations.
The announcement was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by the Gigafactory Texas’ official account, which posted, “Congratulations to the Giga Texas team for building 500k vehicles.”
Tesla CEO Elon Musk also celebrated the accomplishment on his platform, writing, “Nice work, Giga Texas team!”
To commemorate the occasion, the factory team posed for a photo with the landmark vehicle, a white Tesla Model Y, the company’s best-selling model worldwide.
Located near Austin, Gigafactory Texas has rapidly scaled its production capacity since opening, manufacturing both the Model Y and the highly anticipated Cybertruck.
Reaching the half-million mark underscores the factory’s central importance to Tesla’s long-term growth strategy.
In addition to its current lineup, Giga Texas is expected to begin production of the upcoming Cybercab, an autonomous two-seater vehicle that Musk believes could eventually reach an output of up to 2 million units per year.
The milestone also comes at a pivotal time for Musk, as his $56 billion Tesla pay dispute enters its final stage in the Delaware Supreme Court.
