Kim Kardashian defends daughter North West’s fashion choices amid backlash

Kim Kardashian never misses a chance to stand up for her children, as she recently gave a fitting reply to those who have criticised her parenting style.

In a surprising appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast with Alex Cooper, the 44-year-old reality TV star addressed the controversy surrounding her oldest daughter North West’s makeup and fashion choices.

“I’ve had those conversations with North about makeup because she loves her lip liner,” Kim said, adding that her daughter often reminds her, “Mom, I grew up my whole life sitting in your lap while you’re getting your makeup done.”

She also shared the her 12-year-old daughter has even learned tricks from celebrity makeup artists Mario Dedivanovic, as she has been surrounded by her mother’s glam squad.

Elsewhere in the conversation, Kim reiterated that North is “really confident” and doesn’t let public opinion affect her, especially when she was trolled for wearing a middle finger piercing and a blue wig.

“She’s mature in one sense where she’ll say, ‘I don’t really care that they don’t like my blue hair,’” the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star stated.

Kim also mentioned that people should cut her some slack, as she is a newly single mother and has a lot to deal with.
