Tyra Banks explains why she skipped 2025 Victoria’s Secret fashion show

Tyra Banks has revealed the real reason behind her absence from this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

The 51-year-old supermodel, who made a successful return to the runway in 2024, told Entertainment Tonight that she didn’t make it to New York this time because she’s been busy promoting her “Hot Ice Cream” line in Australia.

“I’m in Australia doing Hot Cream and stuff… I don’t know, we’ll see,” Banks said when asked if she considered walking again.

Her Sydney-based shop, SMiZE and Dream, recently launched its first “Hot Ice Cream” flavor, Hot Mama, which was available for just a week in late September.

Despite skipping the show, Tyra expressed deep gratitude toward the brand that helped define her career.

“Victoria’s Secret is an American staple and now a global institution. I wouldn’t be sitting here talking to you about ice cream if it wasn’t for what Victoria’s Secret did for me,” she shared.

Reflecting on her legacy, the former America’s Next Top Model host added, “I opened doors that others now walk through, and that’s something I’ll always be proud of.”
