Selena Gomez’s newlywed glow steals the show at the Academy Museum Gala

Selena Gomez is glowing in her newlywed era!

Just weeks after marrying the love of her life Benny Blanco, the iconic singer and actress attended the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on October 18.

Radiating old Hollywood glamour, Gomez wore a black gown embellished with sparkling sequins, paired with a sleek jacket. To further enhance her look, she chose to do a bold red lip, and a classic updo.

Her husband, Blanco, complemented her look in a stylish black suit, paired with a grey shirt underneath. The couple was quick to steal the red carpet moment.

The star studded event honoured Penélope Cruz, Walter Salles, Bruce Springsteen, and Bowen Yang, and came shortly after Gomez’s Daytime Emmy nomination for Selena + Restaurant.

“Season 1, I was a complete disaster, but I’ve come a long way,” she once told PEOPLE, reflecting on her culinary journey.

Fresh off their California wedding, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco reportedly enjoyed a “little honeymoon” road trip along the coast. 

“They really enjoyed slowing down and exploring,” a source revealed. “It was perfect.”
