Kim Kardashian explains her outrageous masked look at Academy Museum Gala
Kim Kardashian’s unusual masked outfit sparks reactions at Academy Museum Gala

Kim Kardashian sure knows how to steal the spotlight, as she recently had everyone’s eyes on her during her appearance at the Academy Museum Gala.
On Saturday, October 18, the 44-year-old reality TV star stunned her fans with her unusual look at the event held in Los Angeles, California.
For the big occasion, Kim adorned a full-length, tan-coloured, form-fitting gown, featuring long, flowing sleeves and a deep neckline.
However, what captured the essence of her look was her striking mask that covered her entire head and face.
In a clip shared by PEOPLE on Instagram, the SKIMS founder was seen walking with the help of an assistant, as it appeared that her experimental look made movement difficult.
“#KimKardashian showed off her unique style at the Fifth Annual Academy Museum Gala in LA,” the publication captioned the post.
Speaking to Variety on the red carpet, Kim shared the inspiration behind her choice of look, which was Margiela couture, designed by Glenn Martens.
“It does look very Skims-y. That’s why I was drawn to it when the Margiela couture show came out. I saw this look and I was like, ‘That is so Skims to me,’” she mentioned.
Fans’ reactions
Shortly after the images dropped on the internet, fans were quick to flood the comments section, with some referring to her formerly estranged husband, Kanye West, and others cracking jokes about it.
“I think they’re running out of ideas,” one user commented.
Another wrote, “The bush panties, and now this. This is very Kanye of you, Kim.”
“When your makeup artist cancels at the last minute,” a third user hilariously said.
