US President Donald Trump has ignited a storm of controversy after sharing an AI-generated video of himself depicted as a king piloting a fighter jet, in response to nationwide “No Kings” protests.

The video, posted late Saturday on Trump’s Truth Social platform, shows him wearing a golden crown while flying a jet labelled “KING TRUMP.”

As the track Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins plays, the aircraft soars over New York City’s Times Square and releases brown liquid on demonstrators below, appearing to mock the anti-Trump crowds.

Trump also shared another AI-generated clip, originally posted by Vice President J.D. Vance on Bluesky, showing him donning a crown, forming a cape over his shoulders, and unsheathing a sword.

The video concludes with Democratic leaders, including Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi, kneeling during the 2020 George Floyd tribute.

Schumer responded by posting photos of himself with protesters on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “We won’t allow Trump to keep eroding our democracy.”

The “No Kings” rallies took place across all 50 US states, with organisers claiming more than seven million participants.

Demonstrations stretched from New York to Los Angeles, and even near Trump’s Florida residence.
