Kelsea Ballerini’s name emerges amid Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman’s divorce drama

If you’ve been keeping up with Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman’s divorce, you may have noticed Kelsea Ballerini’s name mentioned so, who is she, and why is she being linked to Urban?

After news of their separation broke, reports claimed Urban was connected to two women, his guitarist Maggie Baugh and singer Kelsea Ballerini.

An insider told Woman’s Day, “It’s true he and Maggie Baugh have been working closely together, but he’s also still very close to Kelsea Ballerini, who’s also newly single.”

The source added that Urban and Ballerini have known each other for years and share a supportive friendship, saying, “Keith has no shortage of shoulders to cry on.”

A Nashville music insider told the Daily Mail, “The rumour is that he’s with a younger woman in the business. It’s all everyone is talking about and everyone wants to know who, but so far, that’s a mystery.”

Many believe the “younger woman” could be Baugh, while others suspect Ballerini. Urban is 57, soon turning 58 and Ballerini recently turned 32.

In January, Ballerini performed in Nashville and shared a childhood story about how Urban’s song Stupid Boy inspired her.

To the audience’s surprise, Urban joined her on stage, and the two performed the song together as this moment fuelled even more speculation about their connection.

However, the singer born on September 12, 1993, in Mascot, Tennessee, Ballerini is a five-time Grammy-nominated singer who won the Rising Star Award at Billboard Women in Music in 2015. She began writing songs at 15 to cope with her parents’ divorce, telling CMT in 2014, “I started coping with life through that way and never stopped.”

Recently, Kelsea Ballerini appeared as a judge on The Voice Season 27 and made her acting debut in ABC’s short-lived drama Doctor Odyssey, playing a bride-to-be named Lisa.
