Jennifer Aniston is starring in and is an executive producer of the 'I'm Glad My Mom Died' adaptation

Jennifer Aniston recently opened about almost passing on the role of I'm Glad My Mom Died adaption.
It is to be noted here that Aniston will play Jennette McCurdy's mother in an upcoming Apple TV+ series adaptation based on McCurdy's memoir of the same name.
The 56-year-old actress, who will also serve as an executive producer, while opening about the decision of almost skipping the role of playing late Debra McCurdy said, "When it came across my desk as an option, an offer to play this character, I was pretty much immediately intrigued and flattered and excited."
The We’re the Millers star believes she was drawn to the story and the show, saying that she and McCurdy "had very similar mothers".
The Murder Mystery actress compared herself with the memoir creator, Jennette McCurdy, saying, "We have a lot in common."
It is worth mentioning here that McCurdy talked about her mother, who died in 2013, in her memoir, alleging that her deceased mother had forced her into acting, which she claimed led her to be exploited during her career as a young actor.
Jennifer Aniston, meanwhile, has similarly been open about her estranged relationship with her late mother, Nancy Dow, who died in 2016.
“She was very critical of me. Because she was a model, she was gorgeous, stunning. I wasn’t. I never was," the actress once told The Hollywood Reporter, adding, "I honestly still don’t think of myself in that sort of light, which is fine.”
