Prince Andrew criticised for 'lack of tact' at duchess' funeral

Prince Andrew is called out by royal expert for what he described as a “remarkable lack of tact” during his appearance at the Duchess of Kent’s funeral, an event where Prince William was seen deliberately avoiding interaction with his uncle.

According to royal commentator Robert Hardman, the Prince of Wales has been “closely involved behind the scenes” and remains unsupportive of Andrew’s actions.

Speaking to GB News, Hardman said Andrew “showed poor judgment by being so visible at the funeral” and should have “stayed out of the spotlight.”

“He was showing, I think, a remarkable lack of tact, marching around in front of the cameras when, frankly, the best place would have been to stand at the back and not look for air time,” Hardman remarked.

The expert added that although Andrew has faced public backlash, stripping him of his Prince title would be highly unlikely.

“The last time that happened was involving enemies of this country fighting at war,” he explained, adding, “If he could possibly stay away from rides around the park on royal horses, that would certainly help in the days ahead.”
