‘It Ends with Us’ costars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have been embroiled in a heated legal feud since December 2024

Blake Lively just got real about emotional abuse amid her legal feud with It Ends with Us costar, Justin Baldoni.
The 38-year-old actress took to Instagram Stories and shared series of post regarding violence, and how it impacts people, specially women.
In the different posts, Lively talked about domestic violence and its impacts, dating violence teenagers face in the US; technology facilitated abuse, emotional and verbal abuse and financial abuse.
According to the Another Simple Favor actress’ awareness post, "one in four women and one in seven men experience severe physical violence from an intimate partner in their lifetime”

The post also notified that the abuse is more than "physical” as it can also be “emotional, sexual, digital and financial”.
The Gossip Girl alum also talked about how 1 in 3 U.S. teens experience physical, sexual, or emotional abuse from someone they're in a relationship with before becoming adults.

Lively also mentioned National Teen Dating Abuse Helpline that is working to educate teens about healthy and safe relationships and providing resources.
Moreover, the It Ends with Us actress also highlighted about technology-facilitated abuse that is done through texting and social media to bully, harass, stalk, or intimidate a partner.

According to the wife of Ryan Reynolds, emotional abuse includes non-physical behaviours such as threats, insults, constant monitoring or "checking in," excessive texting, humiliation, intimidation, isolation, or stalking.

In the end, her post also noted how financial abuse is often operated in more subtle ways than other forms of abuse, but it can be just as harmful to those who experience it.

As per the post, such abuse is limiting or controlling one's access to financial resources and autonomy.
Blake Lively's post about emotional abuse comes amid her ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni, whose trial will begin in March 2026.
