King Charles pays emotional tribute to victims of Manchester synagogue attack
The Manchester synagogue attack took place on October 2 during Yom Kippur

King Charles has stepped out to fulfill his royal duties following a chaotic week of addressing Prince Andrew’s ongoing drama.
On Monday, October 20, the 76-year-old monarch made a surprise visit to the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in Manchester to express condolences and stand in solidarity with the victims of the recent tragedy.
It is pertinent to mention that the devastating attack occured on Yom Kippur, October 2, the holiest day in the Jewish calender, when Jihad Al-Shamie, who was on bail for an alleged rape, was shot dead by police after targeting the place of worship.
Soon after the tragedy, King Charles and Queen Camilla released a message on their official Instagram account, expressing that they were deeply shocked and saddened upon hearing about the horrific attack.
To pay his respects, the King was greeted by Rabbi Daniel Walker upon arrival. He reportedly stood for a few minutes at an outdoor memorial area where flowers and messages had been left by mourners.
Their Majesties also shared a reel on their Instagram handle, paying tribute to the victims.
“A show of support for the Manchester community. This afternoon, The King met emergency service workers, interfaith leaders and the incredibly brave survivors affected by the attack at Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue on 2nd October 2025,” the caption read.
This visit of King Charles comes after Prince Andrew announced the withdrawal of his titles in a statement released by Buckingham Palace on Friday, October 17, amid the controversy surrounding his association with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
