The ‘Friends’ alum opened up about her father's concerns over her career
Jennifer Ansiton had to fight her way past her actor father’s opposition before becoming the renowned actress she is today.
For the unversed, the 56-year-old actress' late father was John Aniston, who breathed his last at the age of 89 on November 11, 2022.
Despite being in the acting industry until his death, he frowned about the idea of his daughter working in the same profession.
"My dad was telling me, 'Please don't do this; you're just going to suffer rejection,'" Aniston said on the Armchair Expert podcast, released on Monday, October 20.
"'Just go get a job. Like, get a real job.' All the cliché things," the Friends alum stated, reminiscing about her father's remarks.
Aniston revealed that acting was her innate passion, and that's why she did not stop to pursue it despite her father’s warnings.
"Whatever drives you, if you find passion in something and you love it, go do it,” she noted.
On the professional note, Jennifer Aniston is set to star in a new Apple TV+ series based on Jennette McCurdy's memoir, I'm Glad My Mom Died, in which she will portray the role of McCurdy's late mother.
