Mark Zuckerberg shows off Oakley Meta Vanguard for athletes
Oakley Meta Vanguard sports a single, sleek front lens and a 12MP camera

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has officially unveiled the Oakley Meta Vanguard, a new line of smart glasses designed for athletes who want to blend performance with cutting-edge technology.
Priced at $499, the glasses were first teased during Meta Connect 2025 and are now officially available for sports enthusiasts.
Zuckerberg announced the launch through an Instagram video featuring himself jogging alongside several professional athletes, all wearing the futuristic glasses.
Unlike previous Meta eyewear, the Vanguard sports a single, sleek front lens and a 12MP camera capable of recording 3K video with a 122-degree wide-angle view.
The glasses also feature a programmable AI button that users can customise through the Meta AI app, allowing them to trigger personalised prompts or commands hands-free.
For comfort, all buttons are placed underneath the frame, making them easy to use even with helmets.
The glasses feature a battery life up to nine hours of general use or six hours of continuous music playback, with the charging case offering 36 additional hours and a quick 20-minute 50% recharge.
With Oakley’s signature sporty design and Meta’s smart features, the Vanguard marks Zuckerberg’s most ambitious push into the world of wearable tech.
