Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie royal family’s ‘wonderful assets’: Royal photographer claims amid York scandal

Beatrice and Eugenie, Princesses of York, are likely coming to terms with their parents’ high profile scandal. However, not all is lost.

As King Charles, Prince William, and the larger royal establishment evidently still believes in their roles within the family, independent of the fate which has befallen Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, the princesses have been additionally validated by a royal insider.

Arthur Edwards, a longtime photographer for members of the Crown and privy to often touring with them, has penned a feature for The Sun which supports Beatrice and Eugenie with great regard to their charcaters.

“While their parents may have been brought down by scandal, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie can hold their heads high. The girls are wonderful assets to the Royal Family and neither of them has ever put a foot wrong,” wrote Edwards.

Drawing on his personal experiences with the York sisters from over the years, and hailing their “natural warmth and sense of duty”, the photographer highlighted Eugenie’s help in particular when his granddaughter underwent a surgery for scoliosis — a process which the younger princess herself endured at the age of 12.

“When my granddaughter went through the same surgery in 2013, I asked Eugenie if she would meet her to offer some advice. The Princess didn’t hesitate and she told her: ‘You’ve got to wear your scar with pride,’” he revealed.

Moreover, Arthur Edwards observed, “The sins of the father are not the sins of the child”, while he also shared hope that King Charles will consider giving Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie “more to do” — “With their sense of duty and honour, they would be only too pleased to do it,” he added.
