2025 Hanwha Lifeplus International Crown: Format, cut rules and playoff structure unveiled
Top golfers represent their countries in 2025 Hanwha Lifeplus International Crown
The 2025 Hanwha Lifeplus International Crown returns with its familiar format, played at New Korea Country Club in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.
The LPGA Tour event features 32 top players, including Jing Young Ko, Charley Hull and Minjee Lee, representing eight teams.
Teams are formed based on the combined world rankings of each country’s top four players with seven qualifying nations and one composite world team making up the field.
The Hanwha Lifeplus International Crown competition unfolds over four days in match play format.
In the first three days teams are spilt into two pools of four and compete in round-robin fourball (best ball) matches.
Each country faces the others in their pool with two matches per encounter. A win earns one point, a tie 0.5 points.
The top two teams from each pool advance to Sunday’s semifinals, where Pool A’s winner plays Pool B’s runner up and vice versa.
These matches include two singles and one alternate-shot (foursomes) match and matches are extended beyond 18 holes if needed to determine a winner.
Winners of the semifinals meet in the final using the same format as the victorious team claims the 2025 Hanwha Lifeplus international Crown title and the winner’s share of the purse.
