Prince William is reportedly preparing to revolutionise royal life when he becomes king as insiders say he’s ready to “ditch some of the palace’s quirkiest customs.”

The 43-year-old Prince of Wales aims to reshape the monarchy “from top to bottom,” sparking both excitement and unease within royal circles.

In a recent episode of The Reluctant Traveller on Apple TV+, William told Eugene Levy, “I think it’s safe to say that change is on my agenda. Change for good, and I embrace that. I don’t fear it – that’s the bit that excites me.”

A palace aide revealed, “William’s vision is a monarchy fit for the modern age – less pomp, fewer outdated titles, and a stronger emphasis on purpose.”

Among his planned reforms, eliminating lavish regalia, archaic ceremonial roles, and rigid protocols like bows and curtseys.

“He can’t stand the more theatrical side of royal tradition,” one insider said, adding, “He’ll keep the dignity, but strip away the excess.”

While experts praise his modern approach, they caution balance is key. “The monarchy endures because it evolves,” a royal source noted, further adding, “William’s challenge will be keeping its magic while making it meaningful.”
