Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie torn as Prince Andrew scandal deepens

Prince Andrew’s ongoing scandal has left his daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, in a difficult position as they grapple with their father’s public downfall.

Following his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, Andrew has faced “a string of lurid allegations,” all of which he continues to deny.

Last week, both Andrew and Sarah Ferguson agreed to relinquish their Duke and Duchess of York titles, and reports suggest they may soon vacate their Royal Lodge home amid pressure over Andrew’s lease. 

Amid the turmoil, Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 35, have kept a low profile, with only Beatrice recently spotted visiting her parents.

Royal expert Jennie Bond told The Mirror, “Whatever else you say or think about Andrew and Sarah, they have brought up two lovely daughters. Beatrice and Eugenie must believe their father’s protestations of innocence. Otherwise, how could they go on supporting him?”

However, Bond added, “Surely they must now be questioning why both he and their mother continued an association with a convicted sex offender for so long.”

Despite their parents’ disgrace, both Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie remain in the royal fold but upcoming family gatherings could test their loyalties more than ever.
