King Charles had to act swiftly before the imminent release of Virginia Giuffre’s memoir, Prince Andrew’s accuser. But it looks like he would have to hold the fort against written revelations about yet another family member.

Andrew Lownie, the author who previously covered Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s rise and fall, has announced a book on the late Prince Philip, the King’s father. Described by the Daily Express as “a new book about a beloved member of the Firm”, the biography is set to expose previously “inaccessible” information about the former Duke of Edinburgh.

“I’ve put in all the FOIs (Freedom of Information requests) for a Prince Philip book already,” Lownie told Mail on Sunday in August.

He had further claimed that “a great deal of time after his death was spent by those in his employment burning all his papers”, but that he is tirelessly working to “get what I can.”

While the British publication reported the discovery of the Duke’s school report, which was deliberately kept “inaccessible to the public for a century.”

However, Lownie shared, “But I’ve got it. It shows his recommendations for the Royal Navy, and it’s now at last declassified and available.”

He additionally called on the country’s establishment to “start declassifying more and more records for the royals.”

“People expect more transparency from the monarchy now,” added the writer who has also authored books on the scandalous lives of Lord Mountbatten and King Edward VIII.

Meanwhile, Prince Andrew recently surrendered his royal titles after discussion with King Charles, just before Virginia Guiffre’s memoir, Nobody's Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice, was released on October 21.
