Emma Stone reveals truth behind dramatic hair transformation for 'Bugonia'

Emma Stone has recently shared what she went through before transforming her body for her new film, Bugonia, which has left her fans impressed.

The 36-year-old actress underwent a major transformation by shaving her head to portray in the most authentic way possible.

During a recent red carpet appearance, Stone was asked how she truly felt about going bald for the forthcoming movie.

“I will say that obviously this role took a huge physical transformation as well. Was it something you approached with an open mind?” the interviewer asked.

The interviewer continued, “Like did you have a connection with your hair, where you’re like, “Oh my God. I’m going to look completely different or was it something that was freeing for you?”

To this, Stone simply responded that each character requires adapting yourself according to the demands of the script.

“And this one was in the script, and I was totally prepared for like a year going into it. I freaked out at the very last moment that it was about to happen because I was like, ‘This is very real now,’” the Spider-Man actress told Extra.

She added, “But then after that, it was an amazing experience. I highly recommend it.”

It is worth noting that the upcoming comedy sci-fi is based on two men who kidnap the CEO of a major company after being convinced that she is an alien intent on destroying earth.

Bugonia, starring Emma Stone along with Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis, Alicia Silverstone and Stavros Halkias, is slated for release on October 31, 2025.
