Filipino TikToker Emman Atienza dies at 19

TikTok star Emman Atienza has tragically died at the age of 19.

The social media personality, known for her lifestyle videos, was the daughter of Filipino TV host Kuya Kim Atienza and fitness guru Felicia Atienza.

According to Us Weekly, Emman passed away at her home in Los Angeles on October 22. It is reported that the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner listed her cause of death as suicide.

“It’s with deep sadness that we share the unexpected passing of our daughter and sister, Emman,” her parents wrote in an emotional Instagram post on Friday.

“She brought so much joy, laughter and love into our lives and into the lives of everyone who knew her.”

They also reflected on her impact and openness about mental health struggles. “Emman had a way of making people feel seen and heard, and she wasn’t afraid to share her own journey with mental health,” the statement continued. “Her authenticity helped so many feel less alone.”

Her parents added that they hope to honor her legacy by encouraging others to “carry forward the qualities she lived by: compassion, courage and a little extra kindness in your everyday life.”

Kuya Kim is a weather anchor for TV Patrol and previously served three terms as councilor of Manila’s 5th District.
