In a surprising move, Elon Musk’s social media platform X (formerly Twitter) has lost yet another senior leader, adding to a growing list of high-profile departures.

According to the Financial Times, John Nitti, the company’s global head of revenue operations and advertising innovation, and once seen as a potential successor to CEO Linda Yaccarino, has reportedly left the company without notice after just 10 months.

Nitti’s sudden exit marks the latest shake-up at X, which has been struggling to retain senior executives since Musk’s takeover.

Yaccarino, who served as CEO for nearly two years, stepped down in July, leaving her responsibilities to be shared among several leaders, including Nitti and Angela Zepeda, the platform’s global head of marketing.

Nitti’s departure follows a series of high-level resignations, including xAI’s former chief financial officer, Mike Liberatore, and Robert Keele, its general counsel.

Notably, earlier this month, X’s chief financial officer, Mahmoud Reza Banki, also left after less than a year in the role.

The report also suggested that the growing frustration among executives is a result of Musk’s unpredictable management style and constant strategic pivots.

Many leaders have reportedly found it difficult to carry out their plans under Musk’s direct, hands-on leadership.
