Liam Payne’s new album 2025 update: release remains uncertain
Liam Payne passed away in Buenos Aires, Argentina

The fate of the late One Direction member Liam Payne’s second solo album remains clouded by uncertainty as it is yet to find its way to release.
The English singer, who had tragically succumbed to his death after a fatal fall from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 16, 2024, never got a chance to release his album before his unfortunate passing.
But now, as his family continues to grieve, the future of the album remains uncertain.
A source came forward, speaking to The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column, saying, "Liam was really proud of that second album, but the label was concerned he wasn't in the right headspace to release it."
Continuing, "Ultimately, this led to them going their separate ways."
As per the insider, the album was deeply emotional, and largely autobiographical, calling it "the most personal body of work Liam ever wrote and recorded."
The source further went on to rave about the Teardrops hitmaker’s unreleased work, noting, "People who have heard it say that, lyrically, it is on par with some of Lewis Capaldi's work, but that sonically it's upbeat."
"Liam wanted that record to be released. He wanted to share it with his fans who had always supported and backed him."
A follow-up to LP1 (2019), the album features heartfelt tracks like Safe In Heaven, and Rainbows, songs centered around his self-discovery.
Liam seemingly opened up about "searching for a way back to myself," in those songs.
