Prince William’s plans for ‘protection of the monarchy’: Royal expert explains future strategy

Prince William is going all out to safeguard the future of the monarchy — an institution he is expected to take over at some point.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams claimed in a conversation with GB News that the heir apparent is eager to implement his own strategy amid the royal family’s recent scandals related to Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.

“Prince William is looking at the protection of the monarchy, an institution that’s in danger of being degraded by all this farce,” said Fitzwilliams.

The expert further stated that the future king plans to ensure that the centuries old royal establishment, of which he is an instrumental part, remains “fit for purpose”.

While the news outlet reported that upon being inquired regarding Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie’s future within the Firm, “Mr. Fitzwilliams did not give a direct yes.”

For the record, the Princesses of York are not considered working royals and though their “visibility has been carefully calibrated” as their parents are currently being dealt with, their positions within the royal family have largely withstood the storm.
