Prince William brings Earthshot City to Brazil ahead of major ceremony

Prince William has brought Earthshot City to Rio de Janeiro, as the capital of Brazil is preparing for his environment awards.

In the heart of Rio, the Earthshot Prize unveiled its vibrant Earthshot Boulevard on Monday 27, 2025, setting the stage for several events leading up to the highly anticipated ceremony on November 5.

Created in partnership with climate charity Eleven Eleven Foundation, the boulevard will showcase meaningful art installations and inspiring messages of climate action.

This marks the first time the environmental award, now in its fifth year, has now introduced a space inviting the public to participate in the event.

The public space spans the area from the Museum of Tomorrow to Pier 3, where the Earthshit Summit will take place.

Named Cool Globes, the installation highlights large globe-shaped sculptures by different artists who have designed ways to bring climate solutions to life.

The Prince of Wales, who launched the Earthshot Prize back in 2020, will head to Rio for the awards before joining world leaders at Cop30 in Belem in the Amazon.

Kylie Minogue, Shawn Mendes, and former minister for culture Gilberto Gil are seemingly expected to set the stage ablaze with their performances at the awards in Brazil.
