Diddy’s release date emerges amid his plans for appeal

Sean “Diddy” Combs was indicted on two counts of interstate prostitution earlier this year and sentenced to 50 months in prison and a fine of $500,000.

Though prosecutors in his case had requested at least 11 months of imprisonment, the once powerful rapper recently filed a claim to have his charges dismissed, according to reports which emerged last week.

However, the latest discovery has unveiled the convicted music mogul’s release date, which is expected to be May 8, 2028.

The records were obtained by multiple news outlets from the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Meanwhile, Diddy has been detained since September 2024, when he was initially charged with sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

Following high profile court proceedings which lasted nearly two months, Sean “Diddy” Combs began serving his sentence in July 2025, while he was formally convicted by Judge Arun Subramanian on October 3. The ruling sentenced him to serve four years and two months in prison.
