'Wicked' star Cynthia Erivo finally shares honest reason for shaving her head

Wicked star Cynthia Erivo is revealing the truth behind her bold signature style.

As she reflected on her beauty evolution, the 38-year-old British actress and singer opened up about why she has no plans to grow her hair out.

In conversation with Harper’s Bazaar in an interview published October 28, she confidently admitted, "This is what I want to look like."

“I love a heel, I love nails, I love a jaw, I love a bald head, I love a good outfit," she said.

Continuing, "It is legitimately a way of just expressing parts of myself.”

Over the years, the Harriet actress has experimented with different hairstyles, including braids, a buzz cut, an underrated bob, and short blonde curls.

But in 2021, Cynthia opted for a daring transformation, taking things a step further and shaved her head as well as her brows when she took on the role of Elphaba.

While rocking the daring look, she has crafted her go-to moisturising routine to keep her look fresh.

"Between each shave, maybe like three days, (I’ll use a) hot towel immediately," she told Refinery 29’s Unbothered back in February.

“Keep the pores open with a little spray, like a tea tree one, to make sure everything is taken care of.”
