Sia's custody battle with her estranged husband takes shocking turn

Sia's custody battle with her estranged husband, Daniel Bernad, recently took a shocking turn after he accused the singer of bombshell claims.

For the unversed, the Cheap Thrills hitmaker is currently embroiled in a custody battle with her estranged over their 19-month-old son, Somersault Wonder Bernard.

As reported by Daily Mail, in the latest filing, the 49-year-old singer has been accused of drug abuse.

The Grammy-nominated singer’s husband has also requested a sole custody for their son due to the Unstoppable songstress’ ongoing battle with drug addiction which itself is a “significant threat to the toddler's well-being".

Bernad also claimed that her estranged wife, whose full name is Sia Kate Isobelle Furler, “presents a serious and immediate danger” to their 19-month-old son.

According to him, she is an "unfit and unreliable parent struggling with substance abuse and addiction”, noting that she had "consumed barbiturates and benzodiazepines".

In the court filing, Daniel Bernad has asked the court to award him $77,245 in monthly child support.

Both Sia and her estranged husband’s representatives have been asked to further comment on the story.
