Chris Evans welcomes first child with wife Alba Baptista after two years of marriage

Chris Evans has officially embarked on the journey of fatherhood.

On Tuesday, October 28, the 44-year-old actor and his 28-year-old wife, Alba Baptista, reportedly welcomed their first child after two years of marriage.

According to a source who spoke to People magazine, Chris and Alba have named their little girl Alma Grace Baptista Evans.

"They’re enjoying their privacy and these special first few days as a family with their baby," an insider revealed.

In July, the couple sparked pregnancy rumours after the Avengers star's father-in-law, Luiz Baptista, left a suggestive comment on social media.

Under a fan-made Father's Day tribute honouring both Chris and Alba’s dad, Luiz wrote, "Chris, your turn is coming!"

Last year, when asked about his future family plans, the Materialists actor told the same outlet that he and his wife hoped to adopt a puppy or perhaps an older dog.

In November 2024, Chris was asked if he hopes to become a "superhero dad."

He told Access Hollywood, "Yeah, I hope so. Yeah, absolutely. The title of dad is an exciting one."

It is worth noting that Chris Evans and Alba Baptista, who were first spotted holding hands in November 2022, tied the knot in September 2023 in an intimate ceremony in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
