‘One Battle After Another’ sweeps Gotham Awards 2025 nominations
The Leonardo DiCaprio-led blockbuster receives contrasting indie recognition
One Battle After Another, Paul Thomas Anderson’s acclaimed film starring Leonardo DiCaprio, is the leader among all of the nominees for this year’s Gotham Awards.
Following the independent award institute’s recent modification, which now allows big budgeted films to compete for the prize, Anderson’s feature scored six nods while it was produced on a budget which exceeded $130 million. The film also stars Teyana Taylor, Benicio Del Toro, and the debutant, Chase Infiniti — all of whom have also been recognised.
Previously, the films which were considered for competition at the Gothams were required to be under $35 million.
Some of the other films to land nominations include Bugonia, Hamnet, Sorry, Baby, If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, and more.
