Scarlett Johansson shares how daughter Rose surprised her with special request

Scarlett Johansson recently shared insights into her daughter Rose Dorothy’s adorable yet “outrageous” demand that completely caught her off guard.

In a new episode of Busy Philipps' Busy This Week podcast, the 40-year-old actress revealed that she once gifted her daughter a custom Marie Antoinette dress when she was eight years old.

"My daughter ... asked for a Marie Antoinette gown," Scarlett said.

The Black Widow actress shared that she then turned to Etsy in search of a vendor and eventually found a woman in Ukraine.

For those unversed, Etsy is an online marketplace where people buy and sell handmade, vintage, and custom items.

Scarlett continued, "And this woman, who was an amazing dressmaker who made all the costumes for all these operas in Ukraine, made a two-measure full opera like Marie Antoinette dress with a hoop skirt and corset for my daughter.”

"It was outrageous," she noted, adding, "You can let it (out) so that she'll wear it over (the) years and she still puts it on and she looks so cute."

The Jurassic World Rebirth actress went on to reveal that her daughter even wore the dress to her wedding ceremony.

“She actually wore it to my wedding, which was really spectacular,” Scarlett shared.

It is worth noting that Scarlett Johansson has two children, Rose, born in 2014, whom she shares with ex-husband Romain Dauriac, and Cosmo, born in 2021, with her husband Colin Jost.
