Peacock has announced that Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale will begin streaming on the platform starting November 7 as following its theatrical release on September 12.

The third and final film in the beloved franchise continues the story of the Crawley family and their devoted staff and concluding the saga that began with the hit TV series.

The film proved to be a box office success, earning $100 million worldwide and receiving praise from fans and critics alike.

As a bonus for longtime viewers as Peacock also offers all six season of the original Downtown Abby series, along with the 2019 self-titled movie and its 2022 sequel, A New Era.

Film critic Tomris Laffly wrote for Variety, “Many hardcore ‘Downton’ devotees will know that one of the mainstay themes of the franchise has been preserving Downton’s well-earned honor across the changing times, which have challenged the family and their servants with various ups and downs, with many an impossible-to-please, high-profile guest, and instances of love, death and even war that entered the orbit of the Crawley estate."

He added, “Through it all, protecting that top-drawer ‘Downton’ integrity not just of the fictional house, but of the entire franchise must have been on Fellowes’ mind as a priority too, while he thoughtfully evolved the upstairs and downstairs residents of the majestic estate on their own plausible terms.”

The film stars Hugh Bonneville, Michelle Dockery, Elizabeth McGovern, Jim Carter, Paul Giamatti and Penelope Wilton and is directed by Simon Curtis.

Peacock also revealed upcoming releases date for Nobody 2 (November 2) and The Bad Guys 2 (November 21).
