Prince Andrew silently implements significant change amid ongoing scandal

Prince Andrew has replaced the number plates on his cars to reflect the recent removal of his title as the Duke of York.

The Mirror has reported that the former Duke dropped the customised plates, registered as AY02 DOY and AY03 DOY, for his latest £115,000 Range Rover.

While it is also important to note that the previous number plates are no longer operational, as confirmed through records from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA).

The British publication further claimed that “the number plate AY02 DOY, which adorned his two dark green Range Rovers, is no longer in use, according to the DVLA. He sold his Range Rover for £50,000 last November after it had been driven just 11,000 miles in three years.”

Other vehicles which were adorned with the now-retired number plates included a £220,000 Bentley, which Andrew had also driven to attend the christening of his granddaughter in 2022. Whereas KN74 EFK is the number on his new car.

Meanwhile, Prince Andrew and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson are currently in “advanced talks” with the Firm over the matter of the pair’s relocation from Royal Lodge, their shared Windsor property.
