Meghan Markle smartly shuts down public backlash against her and Prince Harry’s seats during Dodgers game
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made an appearance during LA Dodgers World Series game
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had a highly publicised date night during matchday four of the 2025 World Series, between Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays, on October 28.
However, the couple came under fire when they were spotted sitting front row and near the team’s dugout, while basketball royalty Magic Johnson was camping at the back.
According to GB News, this observation sparked intense backlash since it appeared as if “Dodgers legend Sandy Koufax and Lakers icon Magic Johnson, who is also a part-owner of the baseball team” were moved back to accommodate the Sussex pair up front.
“Supporters expressed their frustration on social media, questioning why the Sussexes were positioned ahead of the local heroes,” it was further reported.
Following the uproar, the Duchess of Sussex was quick to shut down the drama, by sharing a timely snap of herself and the Duke as they amicably posed with Magic Johnson and his wife, Cookie Johnson.
“About last night. Dodgers game,” Meghan captioned the slide which captured the two couples, on her Instagram stories.
She additionally shared more of the activities from her and Harry’s night out in another story which displayed footage of the couple taking in the game, enjoying the stadium food, and checking out the Dodgers’ decked out trophy cabinet.
As for the game itself, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry saw their team crushed 6-2 by the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday. While game five, played today, also resulted in a similar defeat for the LA Dodgers, losing 1-6 to the same opponent.
