Netflix has finally dropped the official trailer for Stranger Things season 5, marking the beginning of the end for the beloved sci-fi saga.

The almost three-minute long trailer teases an emotional but an action-packed finale as the residents of Hawkins prepare for their ultimate showdown with Vecna.

Noah Schnapp, who plays Will, revealed in a statement from Netflix, "We kind of hit the ground running right away this season, which is really exciting and not how we’ve started any other season.

"Everyone is all in one place and we all have the same objective."

Millie Bobby Brown, returning as Eleven, shared that her character is now in “warrior mode,” after being in "training mode" in the first installment and is entirely focused on protecting her friends, who she describes as "her chosen family."

Set in the fall of 1987, Hawkins faces a strict military lockdown while Eleven is forced into hiding once again.

The end is upon them, a darkness, more powerful and deadlier than anything they have faced is rising. To conquer it, they will need to team up for one final battle.

Co-creator Ross Duffer promised back in January that this would be their "biggest and most ambitious season yet," describing it as 'eight blockbuster movies' filled with intensity, heart, and nostalgia.

The final season will be released in three parts Volume 1 on November 26, Volume 2 on Christmas, and the grand finale on New Year’s Eve.

With tears, terror, and triumph ahead, Stranger Things promises to close its universe on a truly epic note one last time.
