Did Prince William pressure Beatrice and Eugenie over Prince Andrew? Here’s the truth
Rumours began after journalist Emily Maitlis discussed the alleged meeting on a podcast
Reports that Prince William held a tense meeting with Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie about their father Prince Andrew’s living situation has no truth to it.
According to Us Weekly, sources close to the royal family have confirmed that no such meeting ever took place.
The rumours began after journalist Emily Maitlis discussed the alleged exchange on The News Agents podcast on Monday, where she speculated that William gave his cousins an ultimatum to convince their father to move out of Royal Lodge.
Maitlis claimed the Prince of Wales told them, “You guys have got to get your dad to move out of Royal Lodge, otherwise we will start reexamining the state of your own titles.”
She suggested that Andrew, as a father, might have resisted for the sake of keeping his daughters’ titles intact.
However, royal insiders quickly pushed back on the story. Page Six citing a source said the reports were “nonsense.”
“Anyone who knows William knows he is not that venomous and is fond of his cousins,” the outlet quoted the insider as saying.
