Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt has candidly reflected on being a stepparent.
In People’s latest issue, on newsstands Friday, the 35-year-old author shared what becoming a stepmom to husband Chris Pratt’s 13-year-old son Jack with ex-wife Anna Faris, was really like.
"I've learned so much and continue to learn so much," she stated. "Just like parenting, you learn something new every single day."
The mother of three, who shares daughters Lyla, 5, Eloise, 3, and son Ford, turning 1 on November 8, with the Guardians of the Galaxy star describes her role as "wonderful" adding, "It's a blessing for me to be able to be in the role of a parent and also a stepparent."
"A lot of people aren't able to do or experience both," Katherine remarked. "I feel really grateful to be able to experience both and continue to learn a lot and grow in both of those spaces."
Speaking on Parenting & You with Dr. Shefali, back in July, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s daughter shared that as her relationship with Chris deepened, she turned to a stepparenting coach for guidance.
"I got that right when we got engaged," she said. "It's been incredibly helpful for me and also just understanding my role as a stepparent."
For the unversed, Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger married back in 2019 and have been going strong since.
